About Sea Horse Farm in Kingsburg Nova Scotia

Since 2000, Sea Horse Farm has been home to many horses, ranging from Clydesdales to Arabians to Shetland ponies.

Alison MacKay-Lyons - an associate veterinarian with South Shore Veterinary Services - trains horses and offers private riding lessons. As an equine/small animal doctor, Ali works hard to ensure the animals are well fed, loved, exercised and cared for. Every morning the horses are groomed after receiving their breakfast and moved to a new pasture.

In the evenings, the horses are exercised in the 200'x 80' outdoor riding ring and cooled off by the ocean. The horses enjoy acupuncture from Ali on a regular basis. This is a treatment she provides through her work at South Shore Veterinary Services.
